About Jeannette Perez

Thanks for visiting my blog! My name is Jeannette, also known as Ms. Jeannie. I am the mom of two amazing young ladies, an engineer by profession, but first of all, I am a just soul living what I call, an unlimited human experience. I have always loved fashion, putting together outfits, decorating ... just being creative brings me so much joy! It gets me in "the zone". A very challenging life experience allowed me to discover a passion for writing and connect to others. Growing up in a very humble and loving home, where resources were limited but the essentials were always met , taught me about home remedies using earth grown resources (thanks mom!) and inspired me to practice and promote a happy, healthy and balanced lifestyle. It wasn't until now after many life ups and downs, trials and tribulations, happy moments and challenging times (and many birthdays too!) that I decided to step out of my comfort zone, overcome my fears and insecurities and finally pursue my passions. And that was when the idea for this blog was born. I don't question anymore; Why now? or; Why I waited so long?... I have learned that there is purpose and time for everything and everyone and this was MY time. It is my desire that you are able to do the same, no matter how old or young you are or where you come from, just know that there is always a way to get things done. All you need is the desire that will connect you with your true self and allow your passions to manifest and unfold their very own way. Once again, thanks so much for visiting my blog. I truly hope that you enjoy it as much as I do. It was created with lots of love, passion and collective family effort. Sincerely, Ms. Jeannie.

Self awareness…

medi3I still remember the day that I first became aware of the space in between my thoughts and emotions. It felt like, if all of a sudden I got disconnected from everything else around me. I will admit that at first, it felt different and very uncomfortable, at least in my mind it did. I was so used to living life always thinking, looking outwards and suddenly everything around me just stopped moving. I began experiencing life as an observer rather than being in it myself. It took me a while to learn and realize that what I had just experienced was the beginning of a new chapter in my life; the beginning of a true relationship with myself, with life, with GOD. Like I said, it wasn’t a comfortable feeling at first but once I realized the truth and let go of the uneasiness the experience gave me, it felt like I had finally just found “home”. I then decided to continue practicing and embracing this “self awareness” experience through meditation and by just being alone and still. And when life gets challenging and busy and I fall back to my old unconscious self, which happens quite often:-), I remind myself to slow down, relax and re-connect with “that space”; the place where I find peace, regain balance and become one with all that is, the place where I find true love. I really hope you all enjoy this post as the inspiration came from a very personal and intimate place in my heart:-). Have a wonderful week my friends! Blessings to you all, Ms. Jeannie:-)

The LBD…

Collage1

Hello everyone! I have been missing for a couple of days but I am back in “the picture”, literally:-). I had a very busy and emotional week. My daughter graduated from high school and the entire week was booked with end of the year banquets, ceremonies and of course, graduation day!  Today I wanted to brag about the advantages of owning a LBD. Although you may think the LBD is for evening wear, which may be correct depending on the style and fabric, the one I am wearing is a piece that can serve different occasions. It will transform, just like a chameleon, based on how you accessorize it. This one in particular is from H&M and is made out of a thick and durable jersey fabric that can be machine washed and only cost me $24.95! Aside from the price and material, what really caught my attention was the “retro vibe” of the style and its versatility. If you like the dress, the link below will take you the H&M online store (to this dress in particular). Hope you enjoy this post and if you do, feel free to share:-)  Have a great Friday evening!  My love and blessings to you all, Ms. Jeannie.
