Happy Friday Everyone! The week is almost over and on Sunday we celebrate Father’s  Day so to all the fathers out there, may your day be filled with lots of love, happiness  and blissful moments.  I am actually visiting my parents this weekend.   They live about 2 hrs away from me so I will be spending Father’s Day together with them.  I enjoy going to their home very much.  Not only do we get to spend quality time with my parents but we also get to enjoy  the peaceful scenery that surrounds their home sitting outside under a big tree, savoring the delicious treats my mom always make .  And talking about peaceful scenery, doesn’t the word “tropical” make your mind crave relaxation time and piña coladas? I actually grew up in the tropics and I miss my hometown very much and to commemorate such wonderful memories I chose to share with you today a tropical print dress I found at H&M a month ago while visiting the city of Philadelphia.

Tropical prints are not only for a vacation to the Caribbean Islands or attending a luau party at a friend’s house.  They can actually be worn to go anywhere, especially during the summer season and turn anyone’s mood  and emotions into an island state of mind.  You can now find this warm weather inspired print displayed on anything from bathing suits to flare dresses so go ahead my dear friends and express your inner islander self wearing your favorite tropical print pieces.  Have an amazing weekend!

The LBD…

Collage1

Hello everyone! I have been missing for a couple of days but I am back in “the picture”, literally:-). I had a very busy and emotional week. My daughter graduated from high school and the entire week was booked with end of the year banquets, ceremonies and of course, graduation day!  Today I wanted to brag about the advantages of owning a LBD. Although you may think the LBD is for evening wear, which may be correct depending on the style and fabric, the one I am wearing is a piece that can serve different occasions. It will transform, just like a chameleon, based on how you accessorize it. This one in particular is from H&M and is made out of a thick and durable jersey fabric that can be machine washed and only cost me $24.95! Aside from the price and material, what really caught my attention was the “retro vibe” of the style and its versatility. If you like the dress, the link below will take you the H&M online store (to this dress in particular). Hope you enjoy this post and if you do, feel free to share:-)  Have a great Friday evening!  My love and blessings to you all, Ms. Jeannie.

The outfits I put together are for your inspiration and you may be able to find similar pieces in your closet to achieve the look.   However, to provide you with more options, I have included below the links to the same or similar pieces in case you are interested.
