When it comes to buying clothes, my primary goal is to invest in good quality pieces that I know I will be able to use season after season.  I look for pieces that are classic, versatile and that I can get the most use out of them.  The amount of money I may be willing to pay depends on my current budget and how badly I want it; however, the majority of the time I wait until the item gets discounted unless I don’t want to take the risk of not finding my size.  When it comes to buying trendy pieces, like the tribal track pants I am wearing for this post, I always try to look for a bargain.  Knowing that the style may not be “in” the next season makes me want to definitively get the most for my bucks.  I am not much of a printed pants person but when I saw the price of these track pants it was a no brainer for me to go ahead, try the look and enjoy them while I can.  Believe or not, I only paid $10.99 for them! I found them at a local discounted store (ROSS) while shopping for a jewelry organizer.  When I first gaze at them, I immediately thought of a Vogue magazine I had glanced at while waiting in line at the supermarket a few months ago.   The looks shown really caught my eye but I didn’t think at the time that any of them would be something I would wear or try for myself.  Well, as you can see I did get the pants.  They didn’t look bad or poorly made (no uneven seams or hanging threads) and I have to say they actually fit very nice.  So as soon as I got home, I ran to my closet to look for pieces that would look good paired with it.  I ended up putting together two looks for you.  Which one you like best?  And, would you wear this look?

Hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I did putting it together.   Have a blessed evening and remember; Life is too short to be little so go ahead and have fun doing whatever it is that makes you happy.  My love to you all, Ms. Jeannie:-)

Créalo ó no,  ¡sólo pagué $10.99 for ellos!

One of my goals lately has been finding key pieces in my closet and using them to create different outfits for more than one occasion. Not only is it a fun task but it also gives me the opportunity to be creative and  practical.  At the same time  it allows me to get the most value out of the money I spent buying them.  I actually started this challenge last month using an old black lace top I own.  I ended up creating four outfits with it (#1, #2, #3 and #4).  Last week I created a post where I used the same chambray top to put together three different looks.  I personally dislike investing in pieces I only get to use every once in a while.  Sometimes I even forget they actually exist and they simply end up getting lost in my closet collecting dust.  Before taking on this challenge I knew I needed to de-clutter my closet.  It was a long due task I had been putting on the back burner because I honestly didn’t know where to start.  After finally figuring out a “process” I was able to at least start working on it.  Although I am not completely done or where I want it to be, I now have a better idea of what I have and where to find it.  I will show you in a future post how I got it done and what I learned through the process.  Now that my closet is in better shape and more organized it is so much easier for me to create looks using what I have and also, figure out what I really need.  I can’t wait to be done with it!

For today’s post I decided to create three looks using the same semi-cropped jacket I bought a few months ago specifically to go to the office.   Jackets are versatile pieces as they can give you unlimited outfit possibilities. This one in particular I got at Banana Republic during their mother’s day sale a couple months ago.  Like I said, I bought it with the idea to just  wear it to  go to work (Look #1)  but now that I seriously took on this challenge, I decided to come up with two additional casual looks (Look #2 and #3).  Out of the three outfits my favorite look is the one where I wore the jacket with the shorts.  I love how the coral hue of the shorts compliments the white and blue colors of the jacket. Which one is your favorite?  You can let know by leaving a comment below!

I hope you all enjoyed this post and find yourselves inspired to look for pieces in your closet to create new looks.  Take care and many blessings to you all! Love, Ms. Jeannie:-)
