About Jeannette Perez

Thanks for visiting my blog! My name is Jeannette, also known as Ms. Jeannie. I am the mom of two amazing young ladies, an engineer by profession, but first of all, I am a just soul living what I call, an unlimited human experience. I have always loved fashion, putting together outfits, decorating ... just being creative brings me so much joy! It gets me in "the zone". A very challenging life experience allowed me to discover a passion for writing and connect to others. Growing up in a very humble and loving home, where resources were limited but the essentials were always met , taught me about home remedies using earth grown resources (thanks mom!) and inspired me to practice and promote a happy, healthy and balanced lifestyle. It wasn't until now after many life ups and downs, trials and tribulations, happy moments and challenging times (and many birthdays too!) that I decided to step out of my comfort zone, overcome my fears and insecurities and finally pursue my passions. And that was when the idea for this blog was born. I don't question anymore; Why now? or; Why I waited so long?... I have learned that there is purpose and time for everything and everyone and this was MY time. It is my desire that you are able to do the same, no matter how old or young you are or where you come from, just know that there is always a way to get things done. All you need is the desire that will connect you with your true self and allow your passions to manifest and unfold their very own way. Once again, thanks so much for visiting my blog. I truly hope that you enjoy it as much as I do. It was created with lots of love, passion and collective family effort. Sincerely, Ms. Jeannie.

The sheath dress…

Today I had to attend a meeting for work so I opted to wear a simple but classic sheath dress paired with black pumps. I decided to show you what I wore to the meeting because one of the goals with regards to fashion is to keep it as real and broad as possible. I want to make sure I approach and provide to you all possibilities for all different type of budgets and occasions . This dress in particular (Calvin Klein) I got from TJ Maxx and only paid $29.00. I thought it was a great deal!!! Not only was the price a good deal, but the quality together with the classic and timeless design made it a wonderful addition to my closet season after season. I chose to wear my hair up on a side chignon and with the help of some dry shampoo and bobby pins I was able to accomplish the mission. And it only took me about 10 minutes to get the job done. A video showing how to do it is coming soon so stay tuned! My love and blessings to you all, Ms. Jeannie:-)

The outfits I put together are for your inspiration and you may be able to find similar pieces in your closet to achieve the look.   However, to provide you with more options, I have included below the links to the same or similar pieces in case you are interested.

Something wonderful is about to happen…

WonderfulGood morning friends! Just wanted to share with you this quote from the one and only Dr. Wayne Dyer.  I have read many of his books and I am a huge fan of his work and teachings.  Always believing that something wonderful is about to happen is something I try to practice on a daily basis, especially when things are not going the way I want. Doing this fills me with peace and at the same time excitement, which in turn ignites the strength and power that is already in me.  It gives me the energy to continue moving forward, even through my most challenging times. We always go through ups and downs.  It is part of this experience we call life.  If everything was perfect then there wouldn’t be opportunities for personal growth or simply be better.  I have personally been through many challenging experiences in my life, one in particular being extremely hard and painful.  This experience was specifically related to my very own daughter’s health, life and wellbeing. I still remember going through it and telling myself: “There is no way you will be be able to survive this!” I felt defeated both, physically and emotionally.    Even through those difficult moments where at times the emotional pain became stronger than my own desire to live I found, within myself, the strength to look above and beyond everything that was going on and chose to believe that something wonderful was about to happen.  It became my mantra and part of my daily prayers.  Now, a couple years later, it still remains part of  my daily thoughts and practices; however, I later learned that when you say it, either in your mind or out loud, you have to add the emotion that comes with the knowing that what you want is already in your life.  Love and blessings to you all.  Sincerely, Ms. Jeannie:-)
