The black pencil skirt…

DSC_6396E DSC_6305E DSC_6221E DSC_6404E DSC_6315EAbout a week ago, I talked about the versatility of the pencil skirt. Today, I not only wanted to showcase once again this important closet member but I also wanted to show you the one and only Black Pencil Skirt. In my personal opinion, you will never do wrong by investing in a good quality, perfect fitting black pencil skirt. It is a piece that you will be able to wear week after week and still look completely different. I paired mine (which I have owned for many years) with a silk floral long sleeve blouse. I chose to add a pair of bright orange strappy shoes in order to add more color to the look and also create a color block effect. By the way, these pictures were taken at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. It is actually a beautiful campus with lots of picturesque views. As always, I hope you enjoy this post. Have a blessed night and sweet dreams:-) Love, Ms. Jeannie.

The sheath dress…

Today I had to attend a meeting for work so I opted to wear a simple but classic sheath dress paired with black pumps. I decided to show you what I wore to the meeting because one of the goals with regards to fashion is to keep it as real and broad as possible. I want to make sure I approach and provide to you all possibilities for all different type of budgets and occasions . This dress in particular (Calvin Klein) I got from TJ Maxx and only paid $29.00. I thought it was a great deal!!! Not only was the price a good deal, but the quality together with the classic and timeless design made it a wonderful addition to my closet season after season. I chose to wear my hair up on a side chignon and with the help of some dry shampoo and bobby pins I was able to accomplish the mission. And it only took me about 10 minutes to get the job done. A video showing how to do it is coming soon so stay tuned! My love and blessings to you all, Ms. Jeannie:-)

The outfits I put together are for your inspiration and you may be able to find similar pieces in your closet to achieve the look.   However, to provide you with more options, I have included below the links to the same or similar pieces in case you are interested.
