A floral fringe kimono….

Happy Monday Beauties! Hope you all had an amazing weekend and that you find yourselves ready for a wonderful week. As for myself, I had the opportunity to watch a few Netflix movies which was super fun and very relaxing, went shopping (bought the Nespresso coffee machine I had been wanting for a while) and on Sunday morning went to a local historical park (Fort Christmas) to just walk around and enjoy the crispy cool weather that paid us a visit this past weekend and that I don’t want to leave. While in the park, I got today’s pictures taken, learned interesting history and met a nice group of people that were also touring the park.

Today as you may notice, I am showing a little bit of my midriff area which is something somewhat out of my comfort zone but that I chose to do just to try it out. I found the floral fringe kimono on sale at a Saks Off 5th store I visited while I was out of town for work this past week. Fringes are super IN this season so when I found this colorful kimono I couldn’t resist to go ahead and buy it. Since Coachella 2015 is soon approaching, I decided to create a look inspired by the occasion. Instead of wearing shorts, I opted to wear high waisted jeans to cover my legs from the cooler temperatures.

The beautiful sapphire glass bracelets are from the What Would V Wear jewelry collection. I was more than excited when these beauties arrived my home last week. Not only did they come beautifully wrapped but they also came with a lovely personalized note signed by its very talented designer and creator, Vanessa. ¡Felíz Lunes bellezas! Espero que hayan pasado todos un fín de semana maravilloso y que se encuentren todos listos para recibir la nueva semana. En cuanto a mí , tuve la oportunidad de ver varias películas en Netflix lo que fué muy divertido y relajante, fuí de compras (conseguí la máquina de hacer café Nespresso que llevo queriendo por un tiempo) y el Domingo en la mañana visité un parque histórico local (Fort Christmas) para caminar un poco y disfrutar del clima fresco y frio que nos visitó este fín de semana pasado y que no quiero que se vaya. Mientras disfrutába de el parque me tomé las fotos de hoy, aprendí un poco de historia local y conocí un amable grupo de personas que también se encontraban visitando el parque.

Hoy como se darán todos cuenta, estoy enseñando un poco de el área de mi cintura lo cual es algo un poco fuera de mi zona de comforte pero que decidí hacer solo por tratarlo. Encontré el kimono con flecos y estampado floral en venta en una tienda Saks Off 5th que visité mientras me encontraba fuera de la ciudad la semana pasada en cuestiones de trabajo. Los flecos están super IN esta temporada así que tan pronto ví este colorido kimono no pude resistir el comprarlo. Como el festival Coachella 2015 ya pronto se aproxima, decidí crear un look inspirado por la ocasión. En lugar de llevar pantalones cortos, opté por ponerme un par de mahones de cintura alta para así cubrir mis piernas de las temperaturas frias.

Los hermosos pulseras de cristal de zafiro son de la colección de joyas What Would V Wear. Me puse más que contenta cuando estas bellezas llegaron a mi casa la semana pasada. No solo llegaron hermosamente empacadas pero también vinieron con una muy linda nota personalizada y también firmada por su muy talentosa diseñadora y creadora, Vanessa. Dare to be bold…

One of life most wonderful gifts to us is the opportunity we are all given to try new things. It allows us to step out of our comfort zone, grow and promote what life is all about. This is something I have been putting into practice for about a year and half now and I have to say that it has given nothing but very rewarding and self fulfilling experiences. Yes, I have made mistakes and sometime things don’t work out but in the end is about trying and becoming wiser.

As an example, for today’s post I chose to wear a lip color that believe it or not, I haven’t worn before. And why? I have always thought it was too dark for me and that it didn’t go well with my personality. But I dared to try it and it ended up growing on me. And perhaps, what a better way to celebrate the fall season than wearing the famous burgundy color on your lips:-) To complete the bold lips look, I chose to wear a perforated leather camel top, boyfriend jeans and oxford red booties. Hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I did putting it together and remember that life is all about stepping out of our comfort zone and trying new things. Uno de los regalos que nos brinda la vida es la oportunidad de tratar cosas nuevas. Nos permite salir de nuestra zona de confort, crecer y promover lo que la vida se trata. Esto es algo que llevo practicando desde hace año y medio y tengo que decir que me ha dado nada menos que experiencias gratificantes y de mucho valor. Y sí, he cometido errores y a veces lo que trato no funciona pero al final lo importante es el tratar y llegar a ser más sabio.

Como un ejemplo, para el escrito de hoy decidí llevar un color de labios que creélo o no, nunca había tratado antes. ¿ Y por qué? Porque siempre he pensado que es muy oscuro para mi y que no vá con mi personalidad pero me atreví tratarlo y aunque no lo creas terminó agradandome. Y además, que mejor manera de celebrar la temporada de otoño que llevando en tus labios el tan popular color burdeos ó burgundy:-) Para completar el look de labios intensos, escojí llevar una blusa de piel perforada color camello, boyfriend jeans y unos botines de color rojo oxford.
