Happy Friday everyone! For many of us, it is the end of our paying work week and it feels great to know that we get to enjoy a couple of days off.  I had these pictures taken yesterday morning and yes, I was smiling a lot and you may be all thinking; “She must have had a great week, lucky her!”.  But, was that really the case?  Maybe yes or maybe not.

THE GRASS IS NOT ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE…

How often does our mood change just because we believe that  everyone else is enjoying a “perfect life” while ours is not the way we want? – I can relate to that! And I am sure I am not the only one.   It is a normal human reaction for our emotions to be according to our state of mind.  The story we create in our minds will always drive the way we feel and react.  And the less good we feel the less positive our minds are going to think.  It becomes a vicious never ending cycle that can get very difficult to break.

Don’t judge the book by its cover –  We all have our very own trials and tribulations and they are all part of our divine life purpose and self-growth path.  And just because somebody else has what you may think you want or the life you desire for yourself doesn’t mean that his or her life is perfect or totally fulfilled.  Just know that we ALL have challenges and situations we need to deal with.

We are always looking outwards instead of inside ourselves – Sometimes we don’t even realize it but most of the time  we find ourselves comparing to others and wanting to be better than “them” instead of the best we can be.  We forget about our very own magnificence and how wonderful and capable we are.  We waste all of our precious energy counting somebody else’s blessings instead of the ones we have.

And remember that possessions don’t equate to happiness – This is a big one! We humans tend to believe that the more possessions we have the happier we will be and we judge people’s emotional state based on what they own or have.  The truth is that being truly happy is a state of mind and a personal choice and has nothing to do with what we possess.  And even though I get super happy and excited when I receive a gift or buy the pair of shoes I have always wanted, the emotions are temporary and not the kind of happiness my soul needs.

Let’s bring our focus back to ourselves and our lives – Don’t get me wrong, it is always good to look up to others for guidance and inspiration as long as we come back to ourselves for action, determination and to BE better than we were yesterday and the best WE CAN BE.

And going back to my outfit…

Everything I am wearing I already owned and pulled from my closet.  It is actually what I wore to go to work yesterday morning.  Hope you all like it:-) Have an amazing weekend!  _____________________________________________________________________________________

– ¡A mi me pasa!
