I have to admit I have an obsession with midi skirts. Not only can they cover more than spider veins but in my opinion they can make any girl feel very “lady like” and sophisticated. For some reason it is kind of challenging for me to find midi skirts I like, so I asked my friend Silvia Helena if she could make a few for me and she said yes! I went ahead and paid a visit to the local fabric store near my home and found various pieces of fabric I really liked. I gave them to Silvia and after a couple of weeks she had them ready for me. The one I am wearing today was actually made with a discounted piece of fabric I found in the upholstery and home decor section of the store I visited. The minute I saw it I fell in love with it. The mauve pink color was just perfect and the texture and thickness was just exactly what I was looking for. In my opinion the skirt turned out beautiful (thanks so much Silvia!) and I couldn’t wait to show it to you all:-) I wanted to create a look that was elegant and sophisticated so I chose to pair it with a crotchet top in a cream color and a pair of black stilettos. To add an edgy touch, I chose an animal print envelope clutch designed and created by the very talented Diana Nieto. I wanted to keep the look very clean and simple so the only accessories I added besides the clutch were a pair of bold sunglasses, a cute bow ring and pearl earrings. Tengo que admitir que estoy obsesionada con las faldas midi. En mi opinión, no sólo pueden cubrir más que las venas varicosas, pero también pueden hacer sentir a cualquier mujer sofisticada y como toda una dama. Por alguna razón tengo dificultad para encontrar faldas midi, así que le pedí a mi amiga Silvia Helena si podía hacer varias para mí y me respondió que ¡Sí! Sin pensarlo dos veces me fui a una tienda de telas cerca de mi casa y encontré varios cortes de tela que me encantaron. Se los entregué a Silvia y a las dos semanas las tenía listas. La tela de la falda que llevo hoy la encontré a precio descontado en la sección de tapicería y decoración del hogar de la tienda. En el momento en que la vi me enamoré de ella. El color rosado y malva era perfecto, y la textura y grosor eran exactamente lo que estaba buscando. Creo que la falda quedó perfecta (¡Muchas gracias, Silvia!) y no pude esperar un minuto más para mostrárselas. Quise crear un estilo elegante y sofisticado, así que la combiné con una blusa tejida al croché de color crema y un par de zapatos de punta fina negros. Para darle un toque único, escogí una cartera de tipo sobre de animal print diseñada y creada por la talentosa Diana Nieto. Quise que el look fuera muy limpio y simple, así que los únicos accesorios que agregué además de la cartera fueron un par de espejuelos de sol, un anillo con un lazo muy bonito y aretes de perla.
