A plaid shirt, jeggings and thinking big…

Hello beauties! I really hope your weekend is going awesome and that you find yourself filled with lots of enthusiasm, love and drive to follow your dreams. It is my personal goal to pursue mine and follow the path and direction my heart wants me to go. Just know that there are always going to be people or situations that will try to discourage you or bring you down but it is up to you to allow it. It is important to know that we can’t control what others say or do but it is up to us how to react to it. So let’s take charge of our lives and emotions, surpass all of our fears and continue moving forward without looking back. I personally keep a mental picture of what I want and where I want to be and always look within for divine guidance and inspiration. Visualization is a great tool for keeping ourselves focused and driven so let’s go ahead and start visualizing everything we want not only for ourselves but also for others because what we wish for others we also bring to ourselves:-)

For today’s post I am wearing a pair of high-waisted jeggings and a plaid flannel shirt I got from an H&M store right after we landed in Salt Lake City, Utah. I needed to get a pair of snow gloves for my daughter before heading to the mountains so we decided to stop by a very nice mall in the middle of downtown. I don’t normally wear jeggings and needless to say high-waisted but these caught my eye and I was on vacation so, why not? Right? It is really cold here and we (the Floridians) got to see snow so we are all very happy especially my daughter:-) Hope you all like it! Love and blessings to you all, Ms. Jeannie.

¡Hola bellezas! Espero que tu fín de semana esté yendo de maravillas y que te encuentres lleno de mucho entusiasmo, amor y energía para seguir tus sueños. Es mi meta personal el persiguir los mios y seguir el camino y dirección que mi corazón quiere que yo siga. Ten en cuenta que siempre habrá personas ó situaciones que tratarán de desanimarte o derribarte pero está en tí el permitirlo. Es importante saber que no podemos controlar lo que otros dicen ó hacen pero sí está en nosotros como reaccionamos a ello. Así que tomemos control de nuestras vidas y emociones, superemos nuestros temores y continuemos moviéndonos hacia adelante sin mirar hacia atrás. Yo personalmente mantengo una imagen mental de lo que deseo y a donde quiero llegar y siempre busco dentro de mi para encontrar dirección e inspiración divina. La visualización es una muy buena herramienta para mantenernos enfocados y en camino así que comencemos todos a visualizar todo lo que mas queremos no solo para nosotros pero también para los demás ya que lo que deseamos para otros también atraemos para nosotros mismos:-)

Para el escrito de hoy estoy llevando un par de “jeggings” de cintura alta y una camisa de tartán que compré en la tienda H&M luego que aterrizamos en el aeropuerto de Salt Lake City en el estado de Utah. Tenía que comprale a mi hija unos guantes para la nieve antes de continuar nuestra ruta hacia las montañas por lo que decidimos visitar un centro comercial muy lindo en el centro de la ciudad. Yo normalmente no me pongo “jeggings” y mucho menos de cintura alta pero estas que llevo hoy llamaron mucho mi atención y como estába de vacaciones me dije a mi misma; Y, ¿por qué no? Está bastante frío aquí y logramos ver nieve (nosotros los Floridianos) así que estamos todos super contentos, especialmente mi hija:-) Espero les haya gustado a todos. Cariñosamente, Ms. Jeannie.

Celebrating my day with grey highland boots…

Hello beauties! I really hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that you got to accomplish everything you had planned for. And if you didn’t, that is fine too. Life gives us one day after another to do what we want and besides, Rome wasn’t built in one day, Right? Today’s post is about the awesome boots I got for my Birthday and that I am loving very much. And yes, today is my day:-) Today I become a year older but much wiser and smarter:-). Today, I am a year closer to menopause and hot flashes (oh no!) and all the wonderful things that midlife brings to us (dry eye, dry skin, dry hair, dry EVERYTHING!) but wait, I just started my blog so I can’t have all that! At least that is what my mind and ego are thinking but in my heart I know that fashion is not about age or how young we are or aren’t (nothing against my beautiful younger fellow bloggers, I love you all!) but instead, fashion is about how good we feel about ourselves and the confidence we carry within us. Fashion is about expressing who we are and celebrating and accepting others for who they are and equally, without any judgments. So today, I celebrate myself for turning 45 and having the courage to finally follow my dreams and I celebrate you, my beautiful friends for visiting my blog and for being so supportive and incredibly kind to me. Love you all!!!!

As I mentioned above, today I am wearing a pair of boots I got for my birthday that I have been dreaming about for a while. I know I will be wearing them for many years and I can’t wait to show you the looks I am going to create with them. I paired them with a faux fur vest I have owned for a couple of years and a peach/nude blouse I got from H&M. I hope you all like it and blessings to you all my wonderful friends. XOXO, Jeannette.

¡Hola bellezas! Espero que hayas pasado un fin de semana maravilloso y que también hayas podido lograr todo lo que te habías propuesto. Y si no lograstes hacer todo lo que querías, no te preucupes. La vida siempre nos regala un día tras otro para hacer lo que queremos y además, Roma no se construyó en un solo día, ¿correcto? El escrito de hoy se trata de las botas maravillosas que me regalé a mi misma para mi cumpleaños y que me encuentro muy enamorada de ellas. Y sí, hoy es mi día:-) Hoy me covierto un año mas viejita pero mucho mas sabia e inteligente:-) Hoy estoy un año mas cerca a la menopausia y a los sudores fríos (¡Ay no!) y a todas las cosas maravillosas que la mediana edad nos trae (ojo secos, piel seca, pelo reseco, ¡TODO se pone seco!). Pero, ¡no puede ser! … ¡si acabo de empezar mi blog! O séa que, ¡a mi no me puede dar nada de eso! Al menos eso es lo que mi mente y mi ego están pensando pero en mi corazón sé que la moda no tiene que ver nada con cuán jovenes somos o no somos (nada en contra de mis jovenes y muy hermosas compañeras de blogeo, ¡las quiero mucho!) sino que la moda tiene que ver con cuán bien nos sentimos con nosotras mismas y con la confianza que llevamos por dentro. La moda y el tener estilo se trata de expresar quienes somos y de celebrar y aceptar a los demás por quienes son y de igual manera y sin ningún juicio. Así que hoy me celebro a mi misma por cumplir 45 años de vida y por haber tenido el valor de seguir mis sueños. Hoy también los celebro a ustedes, mis queridos amigos por visitar mi blog y por todo el apoyo que siempre me brindan y por también ser muy amables conmigo. ¡Los quiero un montón!

Como mencioné anteriormente, hoy estoy llevando un par de botas que me regalé a mi misma y que llevaba soñando con ellas desde hace ya un tiempo. Sé que me las voy a estar poniendo por muchos años y no puedo esperar poder enseñarles todos los “looks” que pienso crear con ellas. Las combiné con un chaleco de pelo sintético que he tenido conmigo hace un par de años y con una blusa color nude/melocotón que compré en H&M. Espero les haya gustado y muchas bendiciones para todos.
