Hello friends! Today I decided to get creative with a matching top and skirt set I purchased about a month ago at my nearest LOFT store. Not only did I get the set at an awesome price but I also saw a huge “wearing” potential as I could picture myself pairing both, the top and the skirt with many other different pieces. In my opinion, the look of the set is very cool and chic. It is made out of linen and the black and white fabric design provides a tribal feel making the outfit a perfect asset for the summer. I actually ended up creating three looks. The first look is the top and skirt worn together as a set. To enhance the tribal look I added a cream cascading necklace and a color-coordinated bangle. I wanted to add a pop of color so I decided to wear an old pair of yellow sandals I got from the Nine West store a few years ago. The purse is one of my everyday bags and I love it because is black and very roomy. To create the second look, I paired the top with a pair of bright blue shorts I found in my closet that are approximately 3 years old. Colored shorts are very practical and you can always wear them summer after summer. To keep the look casual and very comfortable I added a pair of black and white ballerina flats. This pair in particular my mom got for me at the Target store near her home. I finished the look with a creamy-white cross-body bag and two brass-tone necklaces. The third and last look is a little bit dressier than the other two but still casual enough to go to a local concert or an outdoor seating brunch. I chose to pair the skirt with a sleeveless white top and a pair of black gladiator heels. To finish the look I added a long silver necklace and a bright yellow cross-body bag. So now my friends go ahead, find a set in your closet and have fun getting creative with it. You will be amazed by the different types of looks you may be able to create. ¡Hola amigas! Hoy quise hacerle algunos cambios a un conjunto de falda y blusa que compré hace como un mes en la tienda Loft. Lo conseguí a un precio muy bueno e inmediatamente vi la posibilidad que tenía de combinar tanto la blusa como la falda con muchas otras piezas. Creo que el conjunto tiene un look muy atractivo y elegante; está confeccionado en lino y el diseño tribal en blanco y negro lo convierten en la pieza perfecta para el verano. Así que preparé tres looks diferentes. En el primero utilicé el conjunto en su forma original. El collar en cascada de color crema y la pulsera del mismo color realzan el look tribal del conjunto. También usé un par de sandalias amarillas que compré hace ya varios años en la tienda Nine West para añadirle un poco de color. La cartera es una de las que puedo usar casi todos los días y me encanta porque es negra y tiene muy buen tamaño. Para crear el segundo look combiné la blusa con unos shorts de color azul que tengo en mi clóset desde hace tres años aproximadamente; los shorts son siempre muy prácticos para el verano. Para mantener el estilo casual y cómodo que buscaba usé unas bailarinas en blanco y negro que mi mamá me compró en Target. No me podía olvidar de los accesorios, así que completé esta combinación con una cartera cruzada en blanco y crema y dos collares de color bronce. El tercer y último look es un poquito más elegante que los otros dos, pero aun casual para ir a un concierto o un desayuno de domingo. En este caso combiné la falda con una blusa blanca sin mangas y un par de sandalias de gladiador en negro. Para el toque final le agregué un collar plateado largo y una cartera cruzada amarilla. Ahora les toca a ustedes buscar un conjunto en su clóset y divertirse mientras lo combinan con otras piezas; les impresionará la diversidad de combinaciones que pueden crear.
