A casual look and a commitment to greatness…

Happy Monday my loves! A lot has happened since my last post. Got all my Christmas décor out of storage (huge project!), visited a very dear friend I hadn’t seen in a very long time and turned 46 years wiser on the 17th and of course I had to celebrate the entire week (why not!) so as you can see, I was super busy and could not fit in time for blogging 🙁 I also got to film my first video (a huge accomplishment for me as I am super shy:-)) but most importantly, I made the commitment to live my life fearlessly and with no regrets. I am now back, filled with lots of motivation, wonderful ideas, and the desire to achieve greatness in my life and hopefully inspire you to find your very own.

We ALL have the potential to achieve and experience greatness in our lives and there shouldn’t be any doubts about that. The seed of greatness was planted within us the moment we were created and to be great is our destiny and true PURPOSE. The key is to find out what greatness is meant to be for each of us. Greatness is definitively a personal matter and just like expensive perfumes come in different types and shapes, greatness can be manifested and expressed in our lives in very unique and different ways. It is important to know that greatness has nothing to do with making lots of money, achieving a specific social or professional status or accomplishing what others think is important or “great” in life. Instead, it has to do with being and giving our best, doing what we love the most, and connecting with the true meaning of our existence. It is now at 46, when I am finally connecting with my very own greatness and also learning to see it in everything and everyone in my life. I especially see it in the eyes of those whom no matter what they do, what their life circumstances are or where they come from, choose to live with passion, unconditional self-love and freedom from the judgment of others.

And since fashion is one of my passions, today I wanted to share with you a casual look I wore this past weekend to go shopping with my girls. The sleeveless anorak jacket is one of the must-have pieces of the season and I can guarantee you that it will never go out of style. I have had mine for the longest time and I wear it year after year. The lace-up top with the fringe booties add to the bohemian-style look l am so in love with. I hope you all like it!

¡Felíz Lunes mis amores! Muchas cosas han pasado desde que escribí mi ultimo post. Saqué toda mi decoración de Navidad de donde las tenía guardadas (¡fué un projecto bien grande!), visité a una amiga muy querida que hace tiempo que no veía y el día 17 cumplí 46 años de sabiduría y por supuesto tuve que celebrar la semana entera (¡y por que no!) así que como pueden ver, estuve super ocupada y no logré sacar tiempo para trabajar en mi blog:-( También llegué a filmar mi primer video (un logro muy grande para mí ya que soy super tímida) pero mas importante que nada me comprometí a vivir sin miedos y sin remordimientos.. Y ahora estoy de vuelta, llena de mucha motivación e ideas maravillosas y con el deseo de alcanzar grandeza en mi vida y lograr inspirarate a tí alcanzar la tuya.

Todos tenemos el potencial de alcanzar grandeza en nuestras vidas y no debería existir ninguna duda de ello. La semilla de grandeza fué sembrada dentro de nosotros en el momento que fuimos creados y el ser grandiosos es nuestro destino y propósito verdadero. La clave está en descubrir cual es nuestra grandeza y lo que nos inspira a ser grandiosos. La grandeza es definitivamente un asunto personal y de la misma manera que los perfumes finos vienen enpacados en envases de tamaños variados y formas muy creativas, la grandeza puede ser manifestada y expresada en nuestras vidas de maneras bien únicas y diferentes. Es importante saber que la grandeza no tiene que ver nada con el hacer mucho dinero, alcanzar un estatus social o profesional específico o el lograr lo que otros piensan que es importante o magnífico en la vida. Por el contrario, tiene que ver con ser y dar lo mejor de nosotros mismos, hacer lo que mas amamos y conectar con el significado verdadero de nuestra existencia. Es ahora, en mis 46 años de vida, que finalmente logro yo conectar con mi propia grandeza y que también logro verla en todo y todos los que en mi vida se encuentran. La veo especialmente en los ojos de aquellos que sin importar lo que hacen, las circunstancias de sus vidas o de donde vengan, escojen vivir una vida con mucha pasión, amor uncondicional própio y libertad del juicio de los demás.

Y como la moda es una de mis pasiones, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un look casual que llevé este fín de semana pasado para ir de compras con mis niñas. El abrigo tipo “anorak” sin mangas es una de las piezas mas populares de la temporada y estoy segura que nunca pasará de moda. He tenido el mio desde hace mucho tiempo y me lo sigo poniendo año trás año. La blusa amarrada y los botines con flecos le añaden al look el estilo bohemio súper chic que tanto me fascina. Espero les guste a todos:-)

Que pasen una semana maravillosa mis queridos amigos y recuerden ser libres, grandiosos y mas importante que nada ser ustedes mismos. ¡Los quiero un montón!

A fall favorite and choosing to be authentic…

Happy Tuesday beautiful souls! May your week be off to an amazing start and that the beginning of the holiday season find yourself smiling more, living joyfully and seeing beyond what our humans eyes can see:-) As you know, the fall season is already here and today I wanted to share with you a look that not only do I love very much but is also very easy to pull and recreate with pieces you may already own in your closet. Ponchos and oversized vests are two of fall’s most versatile and fun pieces to wear and if styled properly, they can look amazing on anyone. The key to NOT look frumpy is to keep it tight at the bottom so find the tightest skinny jeans you may own and you will be ready to rock n’ roll the look just like a super star:-)

And since talking and thinking about fashion always inspires me and takes me to higher levels of consciousness, I don’t want to say good-by before asking you to join me on the journey to practice being more kind to ourselves and our #1 supporters. Ok… let’s be honest, it is our human nature to always seek approval. Our ego/mind loves knowing that we are liked and accepted by others and everyone else in the planet. It is the fuel that feeds our personal drive. If we don’t feel appreciated or liked, our hearts get crushed and we automatically fall into a major depressive state. We stop pursuing our goals and fall back into an uninspired kind of living. This is one of the reasons why many us don’t follow our dreams and can’t experience true happiness. We just can’t bear the thought of being criticized or put down. We basically put our lives in the hands of others and by doing this we are choosing to live life being DEAD. But we can certainly change living this way. Oh heck, WE CAN! All it takes is a shift in attitude and making the CHOICE to just change. Life is about making choices and today I invite you to choose being authentic, love and fortify yourself more and STOP beating yourself for the thoughts and opinions of others. I can assure you that by choosing to live this way you will be opening doors to new beginnings, amazing opportunities and a much happier and joyful self 🙂

¡Felíz Martes a todos! Que tu semana haya tenido un comienzo maravilloso y que la llegada de la época festiva te encuentre sonriendo más, viviendo alegremente y logrando ver mas allá de lo que nuestros ojos humanos pueden ver:-) Como ya sabrán, la temporada de otoño ya está aquí y hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un look que no solo me agrada mucho pero que también es muy fácil de llevar y recrear con piezas que lo mas seguro ya tienes en tu closet. Los ponchos y chalecos sueltos son dos de las piezas de otoño mas versátiles y divertidas a llevar y que combinados con las piezas apropiadas, pueden lucir súper bien en cualquier persona. La clave para no verte desaliñada está en mantener la parte de abajo ajustada o sea que ponte los mahones tipo “skinny” mas apretados que tengas y te aseguro que estarás lista para llevar el look como toda una súper estrella:-)

Y como el pensar y hablar de moda siempre me inspira y me eleva a niveles altos de conciencia no quisiera decirles adiós sin antes pedirles que se unan a mí en la travesía de practicar ser mas amables con nosotros mismo y nuestra principal fuente de apoyo. Ok…. seamos honestos. Es nuestra tendecia humana el siempre tener que buscar la aprobación de los demás. A nuestro ego/mente le fascina saber que somos del agrado de todos y aceptados por los demás y todo el universe entero. Es el combustible que alimenta nuestra motivación personal. Si no nos sentimos apreciados ó queridos nuestro corazón se desbarata y inmediatamente caémos en un estado de depresión fatal. Paramos de perseguir nuestros sueños y comenzamos a vivir de modo automático y sin inspiración. Esta es una de las razones por las cuales muchos de nosotros no perseguimos nuestros sueños y no logramos experimentar felicidad verdadera. No soportamos la idea de llegar a ser criticados ó despreciados. Basicamente colocamos el control de nuestras vidas en las manos de otros y esto, por si mismo, es ecojer vivir la vida como si estuviésemos muertos. Pero podemos, sin ninguna duda, lograr dejar de vivir así. ¡Claro que sí! Todo lo que se necesita es un cambio de actitud y el escojer querer cambiar. La vida se trata de tomar decisiones y hoy te invito escojer ser auténtico, amar y fortalecerte más a ti mismo y a dejar de castigarte por los pensamientos y opiniones hacia tí de otros. Te aseguro que el escojer vivir de esta manera abrirá puertas hacia nuevos comienzos, oportunidades increíbles y un “tú” mas felíz y alegre:-)

Sé tu fan numero uno, ámate y alábate más a menudo y ten en cuenta que el cometer errores es parte del juego y la clave para encontrar posibilidades ilimitadas y el éxito. ¡Los quiero mucho! Namaste
