Hello everyone! Today I just wanted to share with you, both the outfit I wore this past weekend to go to the movies with my better half and what I personally do to stay present and living in the moment without letting my super active mind take control of my emotions and entire life.

5 WAYS TO PRACTICE BEING PRESENT AT ALL TIMES:

1. Be aware of our breathing – Being aware of every breath I take allows me to feel grounded and present.  It also helps me relax and be more conscious of my surroundings and my very own presence.

2. Hear carefully – I try to notice every single sound around me.  Whether is a bird singing or the sound of a car passing by, I notice them all.

3. Observe and acknowledge the presence of EVERYTHING – How many times have we driven on the same street without noticing the little house on the corner or the very old tree that has always been there?  When I drive, I remind myself to pay attention to everything I pass by.  You will  be amazed by how many beautiful things you have missed.

4. Pay attention to our body movements – Whether they are the steps I take going up the stairs or my fingers typing, I remind myself to pay attention to what I am doing.

5. Play the I spy game in our mind – Believe it or not this childish game helps me be aware of what is around me and be present.  I am always spying things!

And remember that…

Being PRESENT allows us to be more AWARE of our thoughts and emotions and it is where real magic happens.  Our intuition awakens and we can consciously choose what to place our focus on.  And since it is a truth that anything we place our focus on or choose to belief takes shape in our reality, by living in the present we are able to create the life we want and have always dreamed for ourselves.
