Happy Monday beautiful souls! I really hope you all had an amazing weekend and that you find yourselves ready to begin a wonderful week.  As I mentioned to you on my previous post,  I started a juice detox yesterday morning and I am planning to continue juicing once a day for the rest of the week.  And today, after I get home from work, I am making a delicious lentil and quinoa soup with the leftover fiber I saved from juicing so nothing is wasted

Today is a very special day for me as it is my oldest daughter’s  19th birthday.  Her name is Alexandra and she is away from home attending college.  I actually miss her  very much but I know it is now her time to fly high, follow her dreams and live her purpose.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY my sweet girl!  LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY heart and soul:-)

Today, I am wearing a knit sweater I got at a great price from H&M, white jeans and a pair of floral heels from the online store Just Fab.  The fringed bag I am wearing  I got last year and since fringes are so IN right now, I decided to get it out of my closet and have fun with it.  So, if you own anything with fringes be ready to wear it a LOT this season.   Do you like fringes?  Would you rock this trend? Would love to hear from you!

Have an amazing week and remember to keep dreaming because if you can dream it, you can have it!

Alexandra

Alexandra

Living life our way and feeling whole….

DSC_0311EDSC_0222EDSC_0336EDSC_0425EDSC_0498EDSC_0475EDSC_0544EEDSC_0446EENGLISH/ESPAÑOL

Happy Monday everyone! Another week has arrived and many of us continue working towards meeting our New Year’s resolutions, trying very hard not to get off track but most importantly to not give up.  We put so much pressure on ourselves to stay on top of our goals and everything else we wrote down on our resolution list or perhaps be just like “Mary” or “Joe” whom seem to have a better life than “Me”.   Doesn’t it sound familiar to you?  It actually does to me!  And once again,  we forget to live in the moment, smells the roses and experience a joyful and meaningful life.

We forget to be true to ourselves – Let’s face it, we ALL  tend  to focus our attention on what others have and we don’t have.  And sometimes we even set our goals based on others achievements, status or life conditions instead of the true desires of our hearts.

The truth is that we have been conditioned to live this way –  From the time we were born until the day we die, we are continuously being told either what to do or what is best for us and even how or to whom we should look like.

We disconnect  from our life purposes and lose sense of our very own existence – This happens when we live looking outwards instead of within ourselves.  We forget that we are magnificent individuals and that we have all it takes to find our very own true happiness.  And sometimes true happiness doesn’t equate to having a huge house, big possessions or a huge career.  If having those will bring you happiness then go for it and do what it takes to get them but by the same token we must understand that for others including our loved ones, that may not be the case and we must respect that.

So…

– Let’s live life being ourselves and doing what makes US feel whole and complete –  We are so used to comparing ourselves with others and doing what we are told  but a MUST DO if we want to find true happiness and live a purpose driven life.

– Be you and no one else!

– Don’t be afraid to be unique – Being different takes a lot of courage but is super empowering.   On the other hand being a follower trying to be somebody else not only weakens us but it also makes us feel empty and unsatisfied.

 – Let’s respect others way of living even if they don’t meet our expectations – Remember, we all have different purposes and it is up to each individual to figure their lives out.

And going back to the fashion aspect of my  post today, I am wearing a pair of high waist jeans I got on sale last week.  I paired the jeans  with  a very feminine neck tie chiffon blouse I have owned  for a very long time .  A mix that I never considered before but that today I chose to give it try and I loved it!  Have a blessed week:-)

¿No te suena familiar?
