A floppy hat and no regrets…

As I mentioned on an earlier post, November is my month. I am actually turning 45 years wiser:-) I will admit that when I look at my age or think of the actual number I can’t help but to feel a little amazed and astonished  as I can’t believe I have already lived that many years!!!  Turning 45 feels so surreal to me and I can’t help but to ask myself: “Am I living my life to the fullest?”  One of my newly acquired goals in life is to live a life with no regrets.  I want to live in a way that when my time comes to leave this world I can move forward knowing that I did everything my heart and soul desired.  This is why, my beautiful friends,  I started this blog.  Do I wish I had started earlier in my  life  when I was much younger? Of course I do!  But at the same time,  I also believe that everything in life happens at the right moment and this year was my time.  And from now on I choose to live my life like if I was dying.  Yes, a little dramatic or drastic to say but if you really think about it and if in reality that was our case, I can guarantee you that we will find ourselves doing a lot more than what we are doing right now  and most importantly, we will be living whatever time we may have left loving each other more and without any mind created fears which is actually the key for success.

So enough said about my age, my life, etc. Let’s talk about the outfit I am wearing for this post.  I chose to wear a striped knit skirt I got from Anthropologie a week ago and that I am loving very much.  I love the colors, how it moves and the retro vibe I get from it.  I paired it with a black faux leather top, a wool shawl , black boots and a burgundy floppy hat.  Another bohemian look!  Do you think it is?  Hope you all like it! Love, Ms Jeannie:-)

¡Otro look bohemio!  ¿No crees que sea? Espero les guste.  Cariñosamente, Ms. Jeannie:-)

Red lips…

Hello beauties! Today is a “red lips” day for me. Yes, I am wearing a bold and bright pout!  As you may have already noticed, I rarely wear red lipstick.  I always stay in the nude and lighter side of the color spectrum when it comes to choosing a color for my lips.  For a while I couldn’t understand why  I didn’t feel drawn to  wearing such a pretty color until not long ago when I finally realized that it had very much to do with my very own personality and the way I grew up being.   I have always been a very neutral person who doesn’t like conflict  and consequently a  people pleaser.  Growing up  I found it very challenging to voice my opinion if it didn’t match others just because I wanted to blend in with the crowd without being noticed and also to make others happy.  But not anymore! Life is too short to  waste time trying to meet others expectations and not doing what feels right and true to myself. Also, being this way is way too exhausting.  I  now choose to be  me,  express who I am, do what I like and what I want.  I no longer worry about what others my think or say about me as long as I am doing what makes me happy and makes me feel  good.  So today, as you can see, I am wearing bright and bold red lips to let the world know that I am now free from self imposed insecurities and worrying about being judged or not liked.  I am wearing red lips to celebrate  life,  our very individual passions and our right to be happy and do what we love.  Today is my  very own “Wear Red Lips” day:-)

I am also wearing a very comfy shearling collar faux suede jacket I got from an online store I like very much, a black striped turtle neck, skinny jeans and floral heels. I actually wore this outfit (without the jacket as it is not yet cold enough here in FL) to go to the Enrique Iglesias concert on Tuesday night.  It was super fun and he is actually super adorable:-)  Have a blessed Thursday my beautiful friends! Love, Ms. Jeannie.

¡Hola bellezas!
