For many of us, the end of the summer is approaching soon.  If like me you live in Florida, you will get to enjoy the warmer weather a little longer and the perks that come with it like going to the beach and wearing shorts.  However, when it comes to fashion at least here in Florida, stores seem to move forward with the rest of the states as far as loading their racks with trendy fall items and getting rid of the summer ones.  I take advantage of this time to stock up on pieces that I know I will be able to wear in the fall and also next summer.  As an example, my loving mom got me the maxi dress I am wearing today at a super discounted price.  Although I know I will be able to wear it as I did for this post a little longer here in Florida, I already have in mind an idea of how I will transition this cute piece into the fall season.  For this post, I chose to pair the dress with white sandals and a gold tote.  Adding the turquoise bib necklace enhanced the summery look I wanted to attain.  For the fall, my plan is to wear the maxi dress with a jean jacket, a scarf, flats and a dark brown leather bag.  And just like the maxi dress, there are many other summer pieces you can easily transition into the fall while still looking stylish and put together.    In the meantime, let’s enjoy what is left of this summer while giving thanks in advance for what we want as if it will be here before the end of the year:-)  Have a blessed night, Ms. Jeannie.

I will admit that lately  I have been more open minded about experimenting with different fashion trends and colors I would have never considered trying before.  I have realized that life is too short to be holding back on trying different things and taking risks.  Not only have I adopted this mind-set with fashion but also with everything else in life.  With that said,  for today’s post I wanted to show you an outfit that color blocks two colors I would have never considered putting together before but that I ended up liking very much how they look together.  As you may already know, the color blocking trend has been around for a while but lately it’s been arising in new and creative ways.  From pairing unexpected colors to adding bold and bright accessories, this fashion trend will inspire you to experiment with colors and at the same time have fun while you do it.  Do you like this look? Would you try this trend?  Do you like the color blocking effect these two colors create?  My daughter, Alexandra, told me I reminded her of a valentine card:-)

Hope you have had a great Monday and remember that it is when we take chances and step out of our comfort zone that we find the opportunities that will open doors to new chapters in our lives.
