Hello friends! Hope you all had an amazing weekend and that you find yourselves ready to start the week.   I actually had the opportunity to spend quality time with my girls before my oldest one moves away to college to pursue her dreams.  She is very excited about it and I am also very happy for her but I will admit that every time I think about it my heart jumps and tears seem to want to come out from my eyes.  I can’t actually believe that my once a little girl is now moving away to be independent.  Time does fly my friends; this is why we should enjoy every minute of it:-).

Today I wanted to show you a midi skirt  my dear friend Silvia Helena created for me.  I specifically asked her to make it very full and pretty and that is exactly what she did.   I got the fabric a long time ago and at the time I wasn’t too crazy about the print but once I saw the skirt already made I fell in love with it.  As you may already know, I have an obsession with midi skirts.  From pencil to full ones, in my opinion they are the epitome of a woman’s sophistication and elegance.   Wearing midi skirts makes me feel very feminine and ladylike; for some reason it just transports me to a different era.  With this midi I created three different looks that I will show you via separate posts.  Out of the three looks, today’s is my favorite one.  Why? I just love how everything, from the silky top to the pearl necklace, work together to create a very romantic and elegant look.  Also, the fact that my hair looks shorter as if I am sporting a bob ( I pinned it all under in the back) reminds me of Jackie O:-)  Do you like full midi skirts? ¡Hola mis amigos!  Espero que hayan pasado un fín de semana maravilloso.  Yo de por cierto tuve la oportunidad de pasar tiempo de calidad con mis niñas antes de que la mayor se me vaya  para la universidad a perseguir sus sueños.  Ella se siente muy entusiasmada al respecto y yo también me siento muy felíz por ella pero tengo que admitir que cada vez que pienso en ello el corazón me brinca y lágrimas parecen querer brotar de mis ojos.  No puedo creer que la que una vez fué mi niña ahora se muda lejos para ser independiente.  El tiempo realmente vuela mis amigos; es por ello que debemos disfrutar cada minuto de el:-)

Hoy quería enseñarles la falda midi que mi querida amiga Silvia Helena confeccionó para mi. Le pedí especificamente hacerla bien ancha y bonita y eso fué exactamente lo que hizo.  Cuando compré la tela hace un tiempo atrás, no me llamó mucho la atención su diseño pero una vez que vi la falda ya terminada entonces me encantó.  Como ya sabrán, tengo una obseción con las faldas midi.  Desde las estilo lápiz hasta las bien anchas, en mi opinion son el epítome de la  sofisticación y elegancia de la mujer.  El llevar faldas midi me hace sentir bien femenina y como toda una dama; por alguna razón me transporta a una época diferente.  Con esta falda midi creé tres looks diferentes que les enseñaré vía escritos separados.  De los tres looks, el que les estoy presentando hoy es mi favorito. ¿Y por qué? Simplemente me fascina como toda las piezas del conjunto, desde la blusa sedosa al collar de perlas, trabajan juntas para crear un look muy romántico y elegante.  También el hecho de que mi pelo parece ser mas corto, como si tueviera un corte de pelo estilo bob (lo recojí todo por debajo y hacia atrás) me hace recordar a Jackie O:-) ¿Te gustan las faldas midi?, ¿Llevarías una?
